I decided to share with you my story. Since many people think that I post fake pictures, I decided to upload more before/after photos of me and talk about my past in details!
How it all began...
Ever since I was a child I was larger than other kids. Due to stress, bad genes and other factors I gained 95 kg (210 pounds) being tall only 160 cm. (5 ft 3"). It is really hard to grow up having this kind of body nowdays.
I first started training with my bodyweight at home and then I proceeded to gym training. Diets and starvation worked at first but it wasn’t long before my progress came to a halt. Each time I finished with my next diet I regained much of my weight back. For more than two years I tried all sorts of approaches and listened to the opinions of all sorts of professionals and fitness enthusiasts but I never achieved optimum results. Although I was able to lose 25 kilograms, I looked terrible. I was skinny fat. I didn’t burn the fat - I burned my muscles! Nobody told me how to gain muscle mass and how to lose fat the right way. Nobody told me that the more muscle you have the more calories you burn. With all these experiments I was then 69 kg (152 pounds) being 175 cm(5 ft 9") tall.
It was then when I stopped listening to anyone else. I had this feeling that I was missing an essential piece of the puzzle. I knew I was close but I did not have the necessary information. Most of the diets and workouts on the internet promised instant results, but the truth is that they were not tailored to my body type, metabolism and individual characteristics. Over the next couple of few years I began reading scientific literature and compared different points of view on training, nutrition and body transformation. I talked to natural bodybuilders, fitness models and nutritionists and experimented with different workout programs and nutrition plans. The results were starting to show. Once I corrected the mistakes in my training and diet, I was able to truly transform my body. I realized that this was the reason I came into this world and I started to create quality diet and exercise programs for myself.
My work and my choice
I started working as a model, but quickly realized it was not my thing and I stopped. Then I enrolled and completed the Fitness and Bodybuilding course at the Bulgarian Sports Academy. I learned a lot about nutrition, training and the structure and function of the human body. But this was not enough. My goal was (and still is!) to continuously improve myself and provide my clients with latest info in the field of fitness and sports nutrition. I continued to read science literature, I learned new and different approaches that motivated me to be innovative at my work. I have spent countless hours working with client of all ages and fitness levels. Over the years I managed to create a variety of fitness programs tailored to the individual characteristics of each customer. In addition to this, my personal blog Fitbg.net currently attracts over 150,000 visitors per month from over 170 countries worldwide.
